How to remove yourself from Nuwber

A plain-English walk-through of opting out of Nuwber (nuwber.com): what to expect, the free steps in order, how long it can take and why you should check again later.

What Nuwber shows about you

Nuwber is a people-search site that publishes free listings and sells background reports. Its removal tool works from the address of your own listing: you find the listing, copy its web address and paste it into a removal form.

A listing there can include your name, age, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and relatives or associates, with fuller detail behind paid background reports, based on what independent guides describe. The exact fields vary from person to person, and the free view usually shows less than a paid one.

How we checked this guide

Nuwber's own site did not load from our tools, and its support pages blocked us, so we could not read the form ourselves. The removal address appears in Nuwber's privacy policy and on its removal page as shown in search results, and the steps below come from independent guides that agree with each other. Nuwber may change the form, so follow the on-screen prompts where they differ. Last checked October 31, 2026.

How to remove yourself from Nuwber for free

The free route is the one to try first. Here are the steps, in order. The official address is nuwber.com/removal/link.

  • Search for yourself on nuwber.com with your name and state. Scroll past the background-report offers to the search results and open each listing that is you with the view details button.
  • Copy the web address of the listing from your browser's address bar.
  • Go to nuwber.com/removal/link. Guides also describe a Remove My Info link under Help in the site footer. Paste the listing address into the field and click Opt Out.
  • Check that the record shown is the right one, then enter an email address and complete the captcha. Use a dedicated address, not your main one.
  • Open the email from Nuwber and click the confirm button in it. Guides say the request is not complete until you do.
  • If more than one listing is you, repeat the process for each address. Search again after a few days.

Use a dedicated email address for this and not your main one, and do not send a copy of your ID unless you have confirmed you are on the real site and there is no other way. Keep a spreadsheet with the date and the listing address for each request.

How long does Nuwber removal take?

We could not read a processing time on a Nuwber page. One independent guide says removal may take 48 hours and suggests waiting a few days before checking. Treat that as that guide's estimate, not a promise from Nuwber.

Things to know before you start

  • Each listing has its own web address and guides say each needs its own request, so a common name or several past addresses can mean several requests.
  • Some guides warn that the confirmation link is tied to the email you used. If you use a temporary inbox, finish the confirmation before it expires.
  • Nuwber's privacy policy points to this tool for removing public information from its people search. That does not remove the same records from other sites.

Will your Nuwber listing come back?

It can. People-search sites build listings from public records and purchased data, and they refresh that data. If your information shows up in a new batch, a listing you removed can be created again. We are not aware of a reliable published figure for how often that happens, so be suspicious of anyone who quotes one.

A sensible routine is to search for yourself a few weeks after your request, then every few months. If you move, change your phone number or buy a home, expect new records. The same record also sits on many other sites, so clearing Nuwber does not clear the rest. Our guide to removing personal information from the internet covers the other sites, Google results and the legal tools that exist where you live.

If you would rather not do it yourself

Doing this by hand across many sites, then repeating it, is tedious. Data-removal services sell that repetition as a subscription. One of them is DeleteMe, the service we link, and we earn a commission if you sign up through the links marked Affiliate link. We have not tested DeleteMe, and the details below come from DeleteMe's own pages as we read them on October 30, 2026.

We could not confirm from DeleteMe's pages whether it covers this site: the part of DeleteMe's list of covered sites that we could see did not include it, and we could not open the full list. Check DeleteMe's current list before you buy.

  • What it says it does: you give it your details, and according to its site its team searches hundreds of data brokers and people-search sites, submits opt-out and removal requests and keeps monitoring and removing your information regularly, all year long.
  • Price: DeleteMe's help center describes the solo plan as about $11 a month, billed annually at $129, for one person for one year. Plans renew automatically unless you cancel, and prices change, so check the live page.
  • Our link's discount: the page our US link opens advertises 20% off all privacy protection plans with the code PARTNER20, valid for new members only on USA consumer plans. See the current DeleteMe offer (Affiliate link).

Removal services reduce how easy you are to find. They do not make you anonymous and they do not promise that a listing will never return. If you decide to look at it, see the DeleteMe plans (Affiliate link). If you prefer not to pay, the free steps above are enough to do the job for Nuwber.

Frequently asked questions

How do I remove myself from Nuwber?

Find your listing, copy its address, paste it into the removal form at nuwber.com/removal/link, enter an email address and click the confirmation link Nuwber emails you. Repeat for each listing.

Do I need to be a Nuwber member to opt out?

Nuwber's support page, as shown in search results, says you do not have to be a member to remove your listing.

How long does Nuwber take to remove a listing?

We could not find a time that Nuwber itself publishes. One independent guide says about 48 hours. Wait a few days, search again and repeat if the listing is still there.

Is it worth paying someone to remove me from Nuwber?

It depends on your time and how many sites you want to cover. The free opt-out above works without paying. A service such as DeleteMe, which earns us a commission if you sign up through our link, automates the repetition across many sites, but we have not tested it.
